1 John 2:3-6 (New King James Version)
3 Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. 4 He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 5 But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. 6 He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.
1. Holy Spirit –
➢ Luke 3:21-22 (New King James Version)
21 When all the people were baptized, it came to pass that Jesus also was baptized; and while He prayed, the heaven was opened. 22 And the Holy Spirit descended in bodily form like a dove upon Him,
2. Affirmation-
➢ and a voice came from heaven which said, “You are My beloved Son; in You I am well pleased.”
➢ Romans 8:15-17 (New King James Version)
15 For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” 16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, 17 and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.
➢ 1 John 3:1 (New King James Version)
1 Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.
3. Solitude
➢ Luke 5:16 (New King James Version)
16 So He Himself often withdrew into the wilderness and prayed.
➢ Genesis 32:22-28 (New King James Version)
22 And he arose that night and took his two wives, his two female servants, and his eleven sons, and crossed over the ford of Jabbok. 23 He took them, sent them over the brook, and sent over what he had. 24 Then Jacob was left alone; and a Man wrestled with him until the breaking of day. 25 Now when He saw that He did not prevail against him, He touched the socket of his hip; and the socket of Jacob’s hip was out of joint as He wrestled with him. 26 And He said, “Let Me go, for the day breaks.”
But he said, “I will not let You go unless You bless me!”
27 So He said to him, “What is your name?”
He said, “Jacob.”
28 And He said, “Your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel;[a] for you have struggled with God and with men, and have prevailed.”
4. Fasting
➢ Matthew 6:16-18 (New King James Version)
16 “Moreover, when you fast,
➢ Joel 2:15
15 Blow the trumpet in Zion,
Consecrate a fast,
Call a sacred assembly;
➢ Joel 2:28
28 “ And it shall come to pass afterward
That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh;
5. The Word
➢ Romans 10:10 (New King James Version)
10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
• Salvation – Greek = Soteria =”saved, healed, and made whole spirit, soul, body, financially and socially”.
6. “Go”
➢ Mark 1:14-17 (New King James Version)
14 Now after John was put in prison, Jesus came to Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom[a] of God, 15 and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.”
16 And as He walked by the Sea of Galilee, He saw Simon and Andrew his brother casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen. 17 Then Jesus said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you become fishers of men.”
➢ John 11:39-44 (New King James Version)
39 Jesus said, “Take away the stone.”
Martha, the sister of him who was dead, said to Him, “Lord, by this time there is a stench, for he has been dead four days.”
40 Jesus said to her, “Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?” 41 Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead man was lying.[a] And Jesus lifted up His eyes and said, “Father, I thank You that You have heard Me. 42 And I know that You always hear Me, but because of the people who are standing by I said this, that they may believe that You sent Me.” 43 Now when He had said these things, He cried with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come forth!” 44 And he who had died came out bound hand and foot with graveclothes, and his face was wrapped with a cloth. Jesus said to them, “Loose him, and let him go.”
